Monster on the Campus Mashup PQ swap 1.

First version of a mashup for Phat Quarter ‘horror theme’ swap. My take is a 1950s American horror movie ‘starring’ a coelacanth plus what is regarded as horrific on a modern US campus – a webcam.
The webcam was one factor in the recent suicide by a college student – Tyler Clementi (Google that name for the story).

My Leehom music collection to date

Was doing my semi-annual room cleanup, and when once more, I couldn’t resist taking photographic stock of my Leehom collection.
Arranged in order of original date of release. Left to appropriate in row 1 and vice-versa in row two etc, in a zig-zaggish fashion. Hover over picture for notes.

Image by Minneapolis Institute of Arts
"In early 2001, I moved into a classic California mid-century modern residence in Orange County. No 1 had lived there since the original owner, who had left behind some of her art collection in a little storage shed. I "rescued" this mid-century modernist canvas from a pile of throwaways. It’s classic 1950s abstraction, total with driftwood-sort frame."

Image by Britain Quaker Meeting Houses
In use. The original meeting house was built in 1691, rebuilt in 1755 and once more in 1817. The Meeting closed in between 1914 and 1919 (for the duration of the Initial Globe War when Pals met with Harrow Meeting). Outbuildings which had accumulated were demolished in 1962 and an extension built on land swapped with the Council in exchange for portion of the burial ground which was taken for road widening (architect Hubert Lidbetter).
