day15 / 365 – studying to make panorama’s

This is my attempt at producing a panorama … I employed my "nifty-fifty 1.8" for this as I figured that it would yield minimal vertical distortion. It is 8 images in two rows. I shot horizontally from L-R 4 across the bottom, moved up and then 4 back R-L. I utilised CS3 to do the merge. I shot it in landscape (as opposed to holding the camera vertical) and am thinking possibly I really should have gone vert. I utilized aperture priority mode at around f8′ish … perhaps ought to have just used manual and stuck with a fixed exposure?? ( obvious exposure differences in the overlapping images .. ) If I knew how to use photo-shop I could most likely blend the variations in the blue sky and make it look greater – but I don’t. I do know somebody who is *wickedly great* with photoshop although… perhaps he’ll aid me out. )
Oh duh – this is the Courthouse as seen from Exchange St near the Security Mutual Bldg – Binghamton, NY.

I found out a bit about this. Red Bull recruit students as sort of ambassadors. They run a few PR stunts around campus, and get to use one of these cars in exchange. There are Minis and Beetles.

Liz’s Swap
A few good residence swap exchange images I discovered:
Liz’s Swap

Image by Minneapolis Institute of Arts
"In early 2001, I moved into a classic California mid-century modern residence in Orange County. No 1 had lived there since the original owner, who had left behind some of her art collection in a little storage shed. I "rescued" this mid-century modernist canvas from a pile of throwaways. It’s classic 1950s abstraction, total with driftwood-sort frame."

Uxbridge

Image by Britain Quaker Meeting Houses
In use. The original meeting house was built in 1691, rebuilt in 1755 and once more in 1817. The Meeting closed in between 1914 and 1919 (for the duration of the Initial Globe War when Pals met with Harrow Meeting). Outbuildings which had accumulated were demolished in 1962 and an extension built on land swapped with the Council in exchange for portion of the burial ground which was taken for road widening (architect Hubert Lidbetter).
